Daniel Duckworth

Agency Principal

With a lifelong connection to the insurance industry—my father was a State Farm agent for nearly 40 years—I bring both tradition and fresh perspective to my work. I began my career in the technology sector before launching my own independent insurance agency, driven by a passion for client service and tailored solutions. I value the ability to consult with clients and offer options from multiple carriers to ensure the best fit for their needs. Every day brings new opportunities to build relationships and provide meaningful guidance, and I genuinely look forward to each one.

Sean Rodney

Sean Rodney

Agent

Sean spent several years at one of the largest insurance brokerages in the country before making the move to Oak Crest. He wanted to get away from the impersonal, one-size-fits-all approach that role required and get back to working directly with clients. Sean enjoys digging into each client's unique situation to find coverage solutions that actually fit.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does Oak Crest actually do for me that a carrier's website can't?

We're independent, so we compare coverage and pricing across multiple carriers on your behalf, then explain the trade-offs in plain language — instead of routing you into one company's single quote.

Where are you licensed to write business?

Oak Crest is based in Liberty Hill and licensed to write policies across Texas. We're also licensed in a growing number of other states, so if you're not sure whether we can help outside Texas, just ask.

Do you work with specialty or hard-to-place businesses?

Yes. On the commercial side, contractors, manufacturers, restaurants, law offices, engineering firms, and medical facilities are markets we handle regularly, and we genuinely enjoy the harder-to-place accounts and the extra work it takes to find the right fit. For personal lines clients, we can also place hard-to-place homeowners risks — coastal and flood-plain properties, for example. We do not currently write specialty hard-to-place auto business.

Will I keep working with the same agent over time?

Yes. You'll have a direct line to your agent for renewals, changes, and claims questions — not a rotating call queue.

Can I bundle personal and commercial policies?

Often, yes. If you own a home and a business, we'll look at whether bundling across carriers saves you money without creating coverage gaps.

How fast can I get a quote?

It depends on what you're insuring. Most personal lines quotes turn around in one to two business days. Commercial lines take longer to do right — to shop your risk properly across multiple markets, plan on 30 to 60 days. We can expedite when there's a hard deadline, sometimes down to one to two weeks, but that faster timeline trades off some of the market comparison that gets you the best fit. For urgent coverage needs, call us directly at (512) 792-4220.
